Delivery Areas

Built in North Wales, delivered by hand.

Every HEWN piece is delivered by me, not a courier. I load it into the van, drive it to you, and place it where you want it. No flat-pack. No assembly. No "leave it at the gate".

Free local delivery — Mold and around

Mold is where the workshop is, so anywhere within roughly half an hour of it gets free delivery. That covers Mold, Buckley, Hawarden, Northop, Connah's Quay, Flint, Holywell, Ewloe, Broughton, Pen-y-ffordd, and the villages in between. If you're somewhere in Flintshire I haven't named, message me — chances are you're close enough to be free as well.

Most local orders are turned around inside a week. I'll usually message you the day before to fix a delivery slot.

Wider North Wales — free, by arrangement

Free delivery extends across North Wales — Wrexham, Ruthin, Denbigh, St Asaph, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Conwy, and out toward Bangor. Lead time is a touch longer because I batch trips when I'm heading that way, but you're looking at 7–10 days from order to delivery in most cases.

If you're further west — Anglesey, the Llŷn Peninsula, Snowdonia — drop me a message with your postcode and I'll tell you what's possible. It's almost always doable, occasionally with a small fuel contribution.

Cheshire, Chester & the Wirral — £15

Cheshire is a 25–35 minute run from the workshop, so I cross the border regularly. Standard delivery is £15 to Chester, Ellesmere Port, Neston, Hoylake, West Kirby, Heswall, Tarporley, Frodsham, Helsby, Tarvin and the surrounding villages.

Lead time is 7–10 days. I can almost always work around a date that suits you — message before ordering if you've got a deadline (a birthday, a delivery window, a garden party in two weeks), and I'll tell you straight whether I can hit it.

Further afield

I've delivered into Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke, Stafford, Shrewsbury, and as far south as Birmingham. It's not standard, but it's not unusual either. If you're outside North Wales or Cheshire, send me a message with the delivery postcode and the piece you're interested in, and I'll come back with a quote — usually the same day.

A handmade planter is a heavy thing. The whole point of building it properly is undermined if it arrives flat-packed in five pieces.

How delivery actually works

Once a piece is finished and the date is fixed, I load it into the van (the larger Trellis Planters take some doing — they're properly heavy) and bring it to you. We carry it to where you want it placed: a back garden, a courtyard, up a side path, onto a deck. As long as we can fit it through the gate, it goes where you want it.

No assembly required. The Gwern is fully built. The Trellis Planter arrives with the trellis bolted on (or, if access is tight, separated and re-fitted on-site in a few minutes). Castors on the Trellis Planter are already fitted and locked.

I'll bring the lining, the drainage, and a copy of the receipt. If you want to inspect the piece before I leave, take your time — I'd rather you spot something now than message me a week later.
